Point is the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercostal
Waterway. Boaters often refer to this as a paradise.

Town of Sewall's Point a unique peninsula, located between
the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers, has a Commission government
including services such as a Town Clerk, a Police Department,
Building Department and maintenance personnel.
The
residential area of Sewall's Point that is bounded on
the east by the Indian River, on the south and west
by the St. Lucie River and is connected by land on the
north end of Martin County. The peninsula is 3 1/2 miles
in length and averages 1/3 mile in width. Of the 780
acres comprising Sewall's Point, 766 acres (98.20%)
are designated for single family residential use. The
southernmost point of the peninsula lies approximately
two miles west of the Atlantic Ocean by way of the St.
Lucie Inlet. Lying easterly across the Indian River
is Hutchinson Island and the Town of Stuart is to the
west across the St. Lucie River. There are approximately
825 single family residences in Sewall's Point.
Sewalls
Point has the near-perfect climate. The average conditions
are mild and sunny in the winter and comfortably breezy
in the summer. The area has an average annual temperature
of 73.7 degrees between the extremes of normal winter
